ROYAL WEDDING FEVER! Can everyone wear white?

Pinned by Heather A. ontoRoyal Wedding fromprepfection.tumblr.com

So the truth is not everyone looks fantastic in white. If you are not a Winter white can wash you out and make you look tired and clinical. If you're getting married & want to go for the traditional white dress or if you just like wearing white; heres what colour will be best with your skin tone. They are all slight variations from white but will make a huge difference to how your skin looks. If you have warm skin tones and wear white it can really clash and age you. So if you know what season you are stick to the following. If you don't know your season you need to make a colour analysis appointment so we can work out what you are. Remember it's all based on natural skin, hair and eye colouring.

SPRINGS- You look best in IVORY ( pale cream)

AUTUMNS- You look amazing in CREAM and CHAMPAGNE ( the peachy one)

SUMMER- You look great in OFF WHITE
( may sound confusing but just stick to white when in doubt)

WINTER- You look fabulous in pure WHITE

Since everyone has wedding fever today below are a few pretty gowns to get us in the mood.
( All gowns found on the brilliant pinterest)

Kate Middleton looks to me as if she is a winter so she will look great in pure white. She looks fabulous in this winter blue and black ensemble. I'm sure she will  make a STUNNING bride.
All the best to her & Willy!

WHAT COLOURS CAN I WEAR?

Hiya! Well I have found a favorite blog called " colour collective" It was actually passed onto me by my gorgeous friend Katty. I found it so inspiring I have gone back through every colour scheme and picked out my favourite ones that are within the spring, summer, autumn or winter colours. I thought I would show you a couple of colour schemes for each season to give an idea of the sorts of colours each season looks most fabulous in. I intend on doing a more detailed blog about the exact colours in the future but heres some beautiful inspiration and colour scheme ideas for your season....

ZARA HAS ARRIVED IN SYDNEY!

I'm sooooo excited that Zara has finally arrived in Sydney! It's 3 story store has opened in Pitt St Westfield today!
Zara is a Spanish label and stocks beautiful clothes and shoes. There is alot of vibrant colour in their current range  and they have an emphasis on the bright block colour look at the moment, blues, greens, oranges and yellows are just a few colours that feature this season. The best part is their prices are really reasonable, tops starting at about $30 and jeans $59, the shoes are also fabulous. I can't wait to get into Pitt St. Here's a sneak peak from the current ZARA lookbook...
PS a special note to winters as you can see there are a lot of pieces in your primary accent colours, this store will be heaven for you!

CAMEL COATS, LONG SKIRTS & A LITTLE BIT OF LEOPARD

I'm about to share 3 looks I love at the moment and give some great tips on how to make it work for your season......

THE CAMEL COAT
Ok so I absolutely love a good camel coat and fortunately there are a lot around in the stores at the moment ( I recommend having a look in country road & forever new). You can wear a camel coat with just about anything and dress it up or down.
Now if your spring or autumn you need to look for the warm camel, caramel and tan coloured coats & Autumn's you can even were a rust  colour, there are also a lot of beautiful peachy camels around that spring and autumn can wear also. Wear your coat with cream, your red, warm purple and any other spring or autumn accent colour on your colour swatch.
Winters and Summers instead of a warm caramel camel colour look for cool coloured stoney beige coats to go with the cool colourings or dark cool brown, winters wear with black and white stripes or any pure colour on your swatch. Summers wear with lilac, white, pale blue or any other pastel on your swatch. Summers you will look fab in pale grey coats as well, and of course lucky old winters look stunning in both black and white.
A last tip, a coat is not something to skimp on get one good quality that's a great fit in one of these neutral colours and it will last for ages in your wardrobe.

THE LONG SKIRT
I love this look for winter with a belt and a jacket, I especially like the striped skirts. Try and look for a thicker fabric as it's more flattering. Springs think beige, cream, & red, Autumns there's a great green skirt in sportsgirl at the moment, summers think light to mid grey & winters charcoal or the beloved black and white stripe.

A LITTLE BIT OF LEOPARD
This look can either look brilliant or go horribly wrong if it's worn on mass or if it's a cheap print, so look for leopard items that don't look cheap and nasty & just wear a little bit ie scarf or shoes or cardigan. Springs look for warm chocolate browns, caramels and beiges in your leopard print. Autumn look for warm browns and even rusty brown ( there is a great rust brown leopard skarf in Deese Avalon at the moment.)
Summers look for cool beiges, dark browns and greys in your leopard print and winters dark browns, blacks and cool beiges.
Here are some looks to bring out the animal in you!

Hope you enjoyed
