Inspiration boards

So we are moving next weekend and i've been frantically trying to get organized and de-clutter before the day. Whenever we move I really like to add something new that I love to look at. I've decided this time I'm going to do a cheap and easy option of re-creating my inspiration board.
I love inspiration boards so much, you can add anything beautiful you like, pictures, photos, fabric, ribbon etc etc. This is quite a random blog but I found some beautiful inspiration boards and though I would share them with you.
It's quite interesting that alot of the time when I do peoples colours the colour palette that they are fits in with the colours they already naturally love. So I would be interested to know does your inspiration board have colours from your season on it??
Have a fab weekend and enjoy these pics............
PS I will post a pic of my new board when I finish

MAKE-UP and YOUR COLOURS

from pinterest

Hiya!
This post is devoted to make- up. Wearing wrong colored clothes for your skin tone is one thing but wearing wrong coloured make-up can be, well... a disaster!
Just like with clothes you need to wear make up that compliments your skin tones.
Here are a few helpful tips

SPRINGS and AUTUMNS- wear warm colours and yellow based foundation, a pinky foundation will look wrong. Springs think browns, golds, peaches and warm beiges for a natural look and Autumn think earthy browns bronzes and rusts.

from pinterest
SUMMERS and WINTERS-  You need to wear make-up in cool colours. Summers can wear dark browns, aubergines, greys and pastels. Winters look great with dark charcoal brown, black and orange tones (see Lara below)

Today my very talented friend/make-up artist Felicity Saundercock did the gorgeous Lara's  makeup for a wedding. Lara is a WINTER and I thought she looked so beautiful I would show you a few pics for some make up inspiration. Just remember to use YOUR colours when doing make-up. Winters you can use this dark smokey eyed look that felicity has created. Summers create smokey eyes using mid greys or cool deep brown and Springs and Autmns use warm chocolate browns.

The perfect foundation match, a great start & a neutral lip to go with the smokey eyes.

Felicity used various shades of dark charcoals and browns on the eyes

The finished product, stunnning Lara! Flic love your work!

I highly recommend Felicity if you are in need of a make-up artist for a special occasion she is amazing and really understands what colours compliment your colorings which not all make-up artists do. Here she is above and might I add she always wheres her own spring colours perfectly. Contact her at: felicitysaundercock@gmail.com

If you would like to make an appointment for me to do your colors contact me at emilycheney30@gmail.com  this consultation includes full colour analysis, make up in your colours and a colour wallet to take with you It can take up to two hours. I'm now taking weekend bookings.

PS if you want to see beautiful Lara in person drop into Loaf at Avalon and tell her what a hottie she is !

SPARKLE IN YOUR SEASON

Hiya lovelies! So incase you're tuning in for the first time this is a blog with colour analysis tips as well as little pieces of anything that inspires me.
Colour  Analysis is based on your natural skin, hair and eye colourings. You fall into one of four seasons . You are are either a SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN or WINTER.  Each season contains different shades of every colour so you don't miss out on your favorite colours, you just get given a palette with the shades that look best on your colourings. You would be amazed at how much younger and healthier you look when wearing colours that compliment your colourings.

I love a splash of sequins or a bit of sparkle and I have spotted quite a few sparkly pieces of late so here are some tips for what each season sparkles best in ......................

SPRING-
You look fab in gold, peachy or cream sequined and sparkly peices.

AUTUMN-
You look stunning in bronze and gold sparkles/sequins.

SUMMER-
You look brilliant in silver, grey and pastel sparkle and sequins.

WINTER-
You look amazing in black, silver or primary coloured sparkles.

Here is a splash of sparkle........ (images from the amazing pinterest)
