MAKE-UP and YOUR COLOURS

from pinterest

Hiya!
This post is devoted to make- up. Wearing wrong colored clothes for your skin tone is one thing but wearing wrong coloured make-up can be, well... a disaster!
Just like with clothes you need to wear make up that compliments your skin tones.
Here are a few helpful tips

SPRINGS and AUTUMNS- wear warm colours and yellow based foundation, a pinky foundation will look wrong. Springs think browns, golds, peaches and warm beiges for a natural look and Autumn think earthy browns bronzes and rusts.

SUMMERS and WINTERS-  You need to wear make-up in cool colours. Summers can wear dark browns, aubergines, greys and pastels. Winters look great with dark charcoal brown, black and orange tones (see Lara below)

Today my very talented friend/make-up artist Felicity Saundercock did the gorgeous Lara's  makeup for a wedding. Lara is a WINTER and I thought she looked so beautiful I would show you a few pics for some make up inspiration. Just remember to use YOUR colours when doing make-up. Winters you can use this dark smokey eyed look that felicity has created. Summers create smokey eyes using mid greys or cool deep brown and Springs and Autmns use warm chocolate browns.

The perfect foundation match, a great start & a neutral lip to go with the smokey eyes.

Felicity used various shades of dark charcoals and browns on the eyes

The finished product, stunnning Lara! Flic love your work!

I highly recommend Felicity if you are in need of a make-up artist for a special occasion she is amazing and really understands what colours compliment your colorings which not all make-up artists do. Here she is above and might I add she always wheres her own spring colours perfectly. Contact her at: felicitysaundercock@gmail.com

If you would like to make an appointment for me to do your colors contact me at emilycheney30@gmail.com  this consultation includes full colour analysis, make up in your colours and a colour wallet to take with you It can take up to two hours. I'm now taking weekend bookings.

PS if you want to see beautiful Lara in person drop into Loaf at Avalon and tell her what a hottie she is !
